Arthroscopic Surgery

This surgical procedure uses a fiber-optic camera placed through keyhole incisions to allow visualizations of the entire joint. It has revolutionized joint surgery. Compared to open joint surgery, arthroscopy results in less scarring and discomfort as well as a more rapid recovery. Many conditions previously treated with open surgery can now be accomplished with arthroscopy. Dr. "J" frequently uses this procedure for the surgical care of the injured athlete.

Back Pain

Our staff has specialized training in osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMT) which can help with back pain. OMT involves using the hands to diagnose, treat and prevent illness or injury. Using OMT, we will move your muscles and joints using techniques that include stretching, gentle pressure and resistance.

We also have training in epidural steroid injections to help patients with herniated discs and resulting sciatica. An epidural injection is when anesthetic and steroid is put in the spine near the inflamed nerve to reduce pain.
