Teginder (Jim) S. Dhanoa, M.D.
Sports Medicine
Dr. Dhanoa is a board certified Sports Medicine physician. He specializes in all aspects of medicine as it relates to the athlete and sports participation. The emphasis of this care is musculoskeletal and orthopedic injuries. Dr. Dhanoa uses non-operative measures to help patients with acute or chronic joint pain.
Dr. Dhanoa is a native of Fremont, California and is excited to provide care for the community in which he was raised. He graduated from the University of the West Indies medical school and completed an internship in Family Medicine at The University of Colorado before completing his Family Medicine training at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Dhanoa completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at The University of Michigan. After concluding his training, he joined the Family Medicine Residency program at San Joaquin General Hospital as a specialist teaching Sports Medicine. Dr. Dhanoa is excited to serve as the Director of the Health & Wellness Program at FORM.
Dr. Dhanoa has served as team physician for The University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University and many high schools during his Sports Medicine career. He has also provided Sports Medicine coverage for many NCAA events. He will now be joining Dr. Jaureguito as team physician for Ohlone College and Cal State East Bay.
Dr. Dhanoa provides pre-participation physical examinations for athletes of all ages and skill levels. He currently provides sports clearance for several local high schools and Ohlone College.
Dr. Dhanoa is available to see referrals with very short notice. Same-day appointments are usually available. With an emphasis on rehabilitation modalities and techniques and the use of casting, bracing or injections as needed, his goal is to return patients to his or her previous level of activity. Dr. Dhanoa works closely with our orthopedic surgeons. Patients which require surgical intervention will be appropriately referred.

Dr. Dhanoa is board certified in Family Medicine with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Medical care for the athlete means more than just orthopedic care for the professional or elite athlete. It also means care for people who participate in recreational athletics or simply use exercise to stay healthy and active. The Sports Medicine team at FORM provides high quality sports medicine specialty care to elite athletes, college athletes, high school athletes, weekend warriors and active people of all ages and abilities. Pediatric patients are more than welcome.
